It has been such a whirlwind of goings-on at the Ruby Spring Camp and instead of spitting out a bunch of random facts and happenings; I will instead choose to speak from the heart. Where do I begin… first, as you can see from the previous post that my Affairs Czar posted, Ruby Spring Photography is now official! While it was started as a web portfolio, we are finally at a place where we are ready to take the steps towards being a photography studio. While I am not yet at liberty to give details as to our plans, I will say that we are energized at the inquires and requests that we are receiving. From our recent photo shoot at Hotel Icon, an idea was born that has forever changed the very foundation that this company is based upon. A mere 5 months ago this website was officially launched, and I as an artist, photographer, grad student, and human being…took on several projects that took my attention away from updates on the site and on this blog. A lot can happen in 5 months, and in the coming months it will be as if we are rebuilding a completely new thing entirely! Is this a gamble? An act of faith perhaps… We shall see...Merrilly…merrily…merrily…
Ruby Spring Photography is Expanding, Soldifying Its Place in a Saturated Photography Market
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Fresh off the heels of a successful photoshoot in Downtown Houston, Patricia Jade of Ruby Spring Photography has begun to solidify her brand.
Houston, TX, October 18, 2010 — In a statement to PR Web, Patricia Jade said, "I don't want to be seen as a hobbyist. The shoots that I chose to do that are 'free' are by invitation only; a reward to the people I hold dear. I am, by no means, giving away free samples at the grocery store."
Ruby Spring Photography began as an idea 2007. "I did not ask for payment at that time because I was still trying to prove to myself that what I offered was worth it. I have grown immensely in the past three years, and my work shows that growth."
Before the website launch, a wide net was cast asking for assistance in getting the brand off the ground. For those who responded, both parties benefited: the photographer got to find her voice, and they were provided with images at no charge.
Ruby Spring Photography is currently in the process of solidifying their new business plan, which will include several different options, in all manner of price ranges.
